Funeral service was held from the chapel of McKagues Funeral Home, Saskatoon, September 7th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. L.R. Agnew officiating. The congregation joined in singing the hymns, "Nearer my God to Thee" and "My Faith Looks Up to Thee". Mrs. J.S. Clayton sang "The Lord is My Shepherd."

"Obituary
Charles Elmer Manning
The death occurred in a Saskatoon hospital on September 5th of Charles Elmer Manning, a pioneer resident of the Stranraer district.
Mr. Manning was born at Cartwright, Man., on November 6th, 1884. He came west to a homestead in the Stranraer district in 1906 and has resided there since that time. In 1909 he married Emily Noble of Stranraer.
He leaves to mourn, his wife, and eleven children, Cliff of Livelong, Mrs. G. Waldron (Emily) Haney B.C., Mrs. E. McCallum, (Bertha) Calgary, Mrs. W. MacPherson (Mary) Wainwright, Mrs. W. Smith (Laurena) Edmonton, Mrs. A. Westoff (Pearl) Ottawa, Mrs. G. Douglas (Daisy) Aklavik, Norman, Trail, John, Edmonton, Mrs. R. Marten (Elva) Saskatoon and Donald, Dauphin. There are 16 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; also three sisters. He was predeceased by two sons, Lenard and Austin.
