"MANNING - The death of Mrs. Emily Margaret Manning age 87 years of 706 Ave. K South, Saskatoon occurred in a Victoria, B.C. hospital on Friday, September 22nd, 1978. The funeral service will be held on Monday, September 25th at 2 p.m. from Westwood Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. W. McPherson. Surviving are: seven daughters, Mrs. George (Emily) Waldron, Vancouver, Mrs. Bertha McCallum, Calgary, Mrs. Wallace (Mary) McPherson, McCreary, Manitoba, Mrs. Al (Pearl) Westaff, Ottawa, Mrs. Walker (Laurena) Smith, Edmonton, Mrs. Graham (Daisy) Douglas, Ottawa and Mrs. Roy (Elva) Martin, Beausejour, Manitoba; three sons, Clifford, Livelong, Sask., Norman, Victoria, B.C., Donald of Ottawa. Twenty-five grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Storch, Morin, Alberta, and Mrs. Ross (Jessie) Sutherland, St. Walberg, Sask.; two brothers, James Noble of Vancouver and Don Noble of Saskatoon. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 1957, three sons, Lenard in 1952, John in 1965 and Austin in 1921 and by a grandson, Colin in 1974. The late Mrs. Manning was born at Uxbridge, Ontario and came to Kilarney, Manitoba in 1899. She came to Stranraer, Sask. In 1906 where she and her husband homesteaded and farmed until 1957. Mrs. Manning had lived in Saskatoon since 1957. She was an active member of the Stranraer United Church Women and of St. Thomas Wesley United Church Women after moving to Saskatoon. Memorial Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the Family. Internment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Westwood Funeral Chapel."
