Noted events in his life were:
• Family History. 1855 David Gordon attended Carleton Place High School and was the 1st gradu ate of Richmond Model School in 1688. This gave him a teaching certif icate for 3 yrs. and he taught before attending Queen's Univ., BA '97 , then pursued his theological studies, first at Queen's then Manitob a Univ. BD '99. While at Queen's he played on the first intercollegia te championship rugby team and played on the team that defeated Yale U niv. with Capt. Curtis. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church a t Fernie, B.C. in 1900 and was there until 1904. Succeeding charges w ere Forrester's Falls, Ont. (1904); Russell, Ont. (1909); Cobalt, Ont . (1914), Agincourt, Ont. (1918). He was appointed Port Chaplain for t he United Church of Canada at Halifax and Quebec in 1929, then serve d in Montreal until 1936 when he accepted a call to Sandwich Church, W indsor, Ont. He retired in 1945, but served as Assistant Minister a t Chalmers Church,
Guelph, Ont. Afterwards he and Mrs. Gordon retired to Peterborough . Anna's interests were her home, the church and her needle work. Aft er her death David made his home with his son, the Rev. Bruce Gordon a nd moved to Sarnia with him.
David married Anna Augusta Porter, daughter of Rev. James Gould Porter and Unknown, on 2 Jan 1901 in Picton, Prince Edward, Ontario, Canada 1854.,1855 (Anna Augusta Porter was born on 19 Nov 1868 in Port Colborne, Niagara, Ontario, Canada 1855 and died on 10 Oct 1951 in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada 1855.)
