Noted events in his life were:
• Family History. 2007 David Gordon attended Carleton Place High School and was the 1st graduate of Richmond Model School in 1688. This gave him a teaching certificate for 3 yrs. and he taught before attending Queen's Univ., BA '97, then pursued his theological studies, first at Queen's then Manitoba Univ. BD '99. While at Queen's he played on the first intercollegiate championship rugby team and played on the team that defeated Yale Univ. with Capt. Curtis. He was ordained in the Presbyterian Church at Fernie, B.C. in 1900 and was there until 1904. Succeeding charges were Forrester's Falls, Ont. (1904); Russell, Ont. (1909); Cobalt, Ont. (1914), Agincourt, Ont. (1918). He was appointed Port Chaplain for the United Church of Canada at Halifax and Quebec in 1929, then served in Montreal until 1936 when he accepted a call to Sandwich Church, Windsor, Ont. He retired in 1945, but served as Assistant Minister at Chalmers Church,
Guelph, Ont. Afterwards he and Mrs. Gordon retired to Peterborough. Anna's interests were her home, the church and her needle work. After her death David made his home with his son, the Rev. Bruce Gordon and moved to Sarnia with him.
David married Anna Augusta Porter, daughter of Rev. James Gould Porter and Unknown, on 2 Jan 1901 in Picton, , Ontario, Canada 2006.,2007 (Anna Augusta Porter was born on 19 Nov 1868 in Port Colborne, , Ontario, Canada 2007 and died on 10 Oct 1951 in Peterborough, , Ontario, Canada 2007.)
